The Indian Liquid Crystal Society (ILCS) is a non-profit organization established in 1992 under the Society’s Registration Act-1960 by a fraternity of liquid crystal researchers spread across the country. ILCS provides a forum for researchers from academic institutions and industries to exchange information and ideas related to liquid crystal research and technology. The eminent liquid crystal scientist, Prof S Chandrasekhar, FRS, was the founding president of ILCS.
